Don’t ever stop dating your partner. Be “engaged” for the entire length of your relationship.
Most people stop being actively engaged with eachother when they get married. They believe that the engagement ends at the wedding. It’s embeded in our language and use of the word. They start interacting with each other like categories rather than individuals. It shouldn’t be that way! Engagement shouldn’t end at marriage!
To be engaged means to be actively in discourse, responding, and dancing with each other in life…not being on auto-pilot. Don’t let your engagement end when you get married! Be engaged every day! Flirt! Converse! Play!..even when you are in your 90s…laugh at and with eachother as your bodies are falling apart!
